I’m James, and Fumino started with a simple idea: that beautiful fragrance shouldn’t be the reserve of luxury boutiques. It should be something you can enjoy at home, every day, without compromise.
I’d always loved incense. The way a single incense stick can completely change the feel of a room. But I found myself wondering. So much of what was on the market was either eye-wateringly expensive or, frankly, not very good. Synthetic, overpowering, the kind of thing that leaves you opening windows rather than cosying down. I knew I had to craft an alternative.
That search led me to Bangalore, the incense capital of the world, and to a remarkable family-run factory that’s been perfecting the craft for three generations. The moment I walked through their doors and watched their team of skilled craftswomen hand-rolling each stick, I knew I’d found what I was looking for.

What Goes In (and What Doesn’t)
We’re particular about ingredients. Our incense is made using a traditional masala method, blending natural laurel wood, bamboo, aromatic herbs, essential oils, and exotic spices. No fillers, no shortcuts. It’s this combination that gives Fumino its signature character: gentle fragrance without overwhelming smoke, a clean burn with minimal ash.
We take quality seriously enough to have our products independently tested and endorsed by Bureau Veritas, a globally respected inspection agency. That means every Fumino product is verified free from harmful chemicals, heavy metals, and lead. It’s the kind of reassurance we’d want ourselves, so we make sure our customers have it too.

Every Fumino product is handcrafted by a team of talented women at our factory in Bangalore. These aren’t production-line pieces. Each stick is hand-rolled, each cone carefully shaped, each wax melt hand-poured. It’s slow, deliberate work.
Our craftswomen bring years of refined skill to what they do. Many learned the art over years, and that knowledge is what makes the difference between incense that merely burns and incense that genuinely fills your home with something lovely.
