Place a cone on a heat-resistant surface or in an incense cone holder or burner. Light the pointed tip, let it flame for 5–10 seconds, then blow out the flame. The cone will glow and release fragrance as it slowly burns down.

We sell both normal and backflow cones. Standard Fumino incense cones are normal incense cones and are not designed for backflow burners (the type that create a cascading smoke waterfall effect). They work beautifully in traditional cone holders, plates, and standard incense burners. We also sell backflow incense cones in all the same fragrances and multipack combinations.

Each cone burns for approximately 15–20 minutes depending on ventilation and room conditions.

This can occasionally happen if the cone hasn’t fully caught when initially lit. Try holding the flame to the tip for a little longer (10–15 seconds) before blowing it out. Also make sure the cone is placed on a flat, stable surface. Strong draughts from open windows or fans can also extinguish cones, so try to position them away from direct airflow.

A small amount of visible smoke is normal during the first few seconds as the cone ignites. Once it settles into a steady glow, the smoke should be light and fragrant. If you see persistent dark smoke, try relighting the cone and ensuring it is placed upright.

Each cone variety has its own fragrance profile. Because they share a natural masala base, there is a warm, earthy character common to all scents. We recommend trying different varieties at different times to appreciate the individual nuances of each blend.

Place one or two cubes in the dish of a wax melt burner (either tealight-powered or electric). As the wax gently heats, it will release fragrance into the room. There’s no flame, wick, or smoke involved — just pure scent.

Each cube typically provides 12 hours of fragrance. The scent is strongest during the first hour or so of warming and will gradually soften over time. Once you can no longer detect the fragrance, simply replace with a fresh cube.

Fragrance strength can vary between scent types — some naturally have a bolder throw than others. Room size, ventilation, and the type of burner you use also affect how strongly you’ll notice the scent. Electric burners tend to give a more consistent, controlled warmth compared to tealight burners.

You can, though we recommend enjoying each scent individually first so you get the full experience of each fragrance. If you do mix, try combining complementary scents (for example, a floral with a warm scent) rather than very different profiles.

The cubes are packed together within the multipack. Because they share the same container, some very subtle scent blending between cubes can occur during storage. This is normal and does not significantly affect the fragrance once melted.

Yes. Fumino wax melts are compatible with both tealight and electric wax melt burners. We recommend electric burners for a lower, more even temperature, which can help the fragrance last longer.
